Its that time of year again and American Field is taking their exciting tour around the north-east coast to highlight american made quality goods! This is an important event that I hold personal to myself because with social media being overly saturated with everyone making the same product, its nice to be able to meet and chat with the creators of some well crafted brands. This is key because clearly having a personal connection with their clients is still important.A few brands that stuck out to me the most during my visit to the American Field tour and this post is to highlight them.
Bradley Mountain:
My first round of scoping out the premises and Bradley Mountain’s style was the first to catch my eye. First, these guys came all the way from San Diego, California to Washington, D.C. to bless us with some rad leather and waxed canvas gear. Their products speak durability and if your using your hard earned money, you know the investment is being protected. The company caters it’s brand around the adventurer and individual that doesn’t mind “roughing it” and getting some dirt under their finger nails.
If you’re someone who is looking for a week long get-away hiking or enjoy that classic, adventurer menswear I would strongly taking a look into products Bradley Mountain offers. You’ll surprise yourself of all the cool things you didn’t know you needed for your trip! Consider these guys your “one-stop shop” with having their owns knives, matches, candles to name a few of their other very cool items.
Domestic Clothing Co.
Domestic Clothing Co. is not only local to Washington D.C., but they also took the extra mile for making american made suiting. In suiting, to legally broadcast you are “american made”, the construction of the suit has to be done in America but the actual fabrics can be outsourced. thats not the case with DCC. These gentlemen made sure they found the finest of fabrics here in the USA to give life to classic heritage suiting. As for the fit, they are made-to-measure and have in-house tailoring so you can speak one on one with the tailors to get that proper fit.
They don’t only do suits either! They carry leather bags, soft and breathable cotton t-shirts, and some of the most comfortable socks don’t slide down during wear. They’re laid back and care deeply for the US economy. If youre in the D.C. area, I strongly suggest contacting them to get fitted for your next suit.
Loren Manufacturing Inc.
Loren Manufacturing Inc. are the men in denim. From Brooklyn NY and the furthest thing from your Ivy league bros. They supply Japanese selvage denim jackets and pants and cater to the man who actually works hard in his denim. If you tear your favorite jeans, they do a fine damn job fixing those tears for a generous price. Their patches and pins are unique, sick, and ready to lay grace on your clothing, furniture, hats, (etc.) If you care about the quality of your jeans and longevity, their jeans are THE option for you. BLKSMTH is their clothing line and thats where you can find your new favorite tees and indigo denim. You’re going to thank me later.
Hiram Grooming Co.
If your’e curious of where this intresting name comes from, it’s actually the first name of a chief architect of King Solomon’s temple, Hiram Abiff. You can read all about it on the Hiram Grooming Co. website! (listed Below). As for The company itself, it revolves around men’s facial grooming. If you’re lucky enough to grow a beard and mustache, congrats! Now you need to care for it. Beards can get tangled very easily and not smell the best if not cared for , thankfully Hiram specializes in that region. Their sandalwood combs are not only soft to the touch but also smell magnificent, perfect for getting knots out and help spread the oil. As for their oil, it’s all organic and cruelty-free ingredients and this actually stands out to me the most because if its not edible, it has no business being on your skin. You can also find beard wash, balm and other goodies to live the Hiram lifestyle.
Wight Tea Co.
Ever wonder what kind of tea you’re drinking out of those lipton tea bags? It’s residue, the residue that is left on the bottom of the batch after all the good and real tea is taken. Wight Tea Co. makes sure they serve nothing but the best quality to obtain all the nutrients and flavors these teas have to offer. Right now they offering some amazing summer time tea featuring some more rarer white blends so I would check them out as soon as you can!
Fellow Barber.
Fellow Barber hails from New York and are one of the sponsors for American Field tour. A fine group of gentlemen that are eager to educate on the arts of grooming and keeping a well made haircut styled. They cut hair on the premises and offer an array of products to keep that rad pomp shining weeks after.
Now that you got a small taste of this tour, there are many more brands at the next tours that you NEED to check out. Below is a list of the remainder of the tours for the year!
