Navy Checks & Olive Balances

Hello again! Glad you stopped by to see what’s going on in Romin’s neighborhood. We are still dealing with Winter here in Washington DC and Mother Nature is letting us all know how she really feels, however there are a few pieces that are making this cold weather very enjoyable and I have no complaints.

This suit is a part of SUITSUPPLY’s winter collection in a Havana fit. The Havana fit does sit more slim than my other articles from SUITSUPPLY however it is still true to size. It’s a full canvased heavy wool that cuts wind like a knife! Some small details I love about SUITSUPPLY is that their suits come equipped with functional cuff buttons (surgical buttons) that in my opinion show a sense of high quality. Of course I’m rocking a 2-inch cuff on my pants and I don’t plan on changing that any time soon. Another detail SUITSUPPLY adds is a cover for the thread inside the pants where the cuff was stitched to eliminate any incident of unthreading where the finish is when putting your pants on. Again, to me that is a big sign of quality and attention to detail. From my understanding I don’t know too many brands that add that feature of hand but if you know of some please let me know in the comments below!

Under the suit is J. CREW’s merino wool zip-up turtle neck in a dark olive that not only is soft to the touch but has a lovely and tight fit. You can wear this many ways, one can have a nice button down and tie peaking out while unzipped or by example below, fully zipped and protecting my neck from the wind. A perfect piece to have in a closet to mix with variety of outfits.
Let me know what you think of the fit and if any of you gents own this suit, tag me in it on instragram @rominandyusa . I would love to see how you all executed this suit!
I hope you enjoyed the outfit of the week. until next time, this is RominAndy signing off.
